Experimental printing onto fabric

  Hand printed Textiles from Nature

After a very enjoyable evening meal Friday you will be encouraged to participate in a relaxing ‘show & tell’, demonstrating various uses for materials which have been printed with the processes you will be using - which includes constructing bags, book covers, pillow slips and lots more..

During this workshops we will be sourcing the inspiration for our hand made textiles from natural forms, plant life and animals at the Rusty Roo retreat. Many different mediums and techniques will be covered during the weekend, including screen printing, repeat patterning, block printing onto fabric, working with silk and hand drawn photo emulsion transfers to silk screen.  By the end of the weekend you will have a range of your own designs printed on different materials or ready made items, that can be used for artist books, unique original clothing or patchwork
