Using Mixed media to create an unbound book

Using artistic works from past endeavours and even those items intended for discarding, we will explore numerous techniques from various artistic fields to ‘rediscover’ your intentions. You may find collage, mono printing, or glazing will highlight the gems in your work and bring out the imbedded memory in your pieces.

After exploring your works to their full potential with layered processes we will construct an unbound book to house your completed pages.

This workshop is suitable for those who are just beginning to play with colours, as well as for those who are more experienced but would like to have their creativity stimulated

Words with Colour

Words are full of colours: the bright hues of joy, the shades of sadness, the blinding fluoro tones of anger !

In this workshop, you’ll work with colours as well as with colourful words. You’ll begin with images, symbols and stories from your childhood. Through exercises and exploration these will unfold into new patterns during the workshop.

By the end of the weekend, you’ll gain

• A new appreciation of the expressive spectrum of words and your ability to use them in poems or stories.
• A new sense of how words and images can enhance one another.

· A folio of pages full of words and colours singing together.
