printing onto a range of cotton clothes and fabrics. You will become skilled
in the use of a range of printing techniques for printing permanent images

the Landscape

In
this stimulating and informative creative workshop you will learn to review
your work with reference to the elements of visual language.
Through practical exercises,
participants will investigate the visual elements of colour, tone and mark
making. The application and layering of acrylic paint will be explored.
Then spend a day ‘set up’ in your
own piece of the landscape.
Ikebana from the landscape

August Friday 8th – Sunday 10th
Lily will guide you through the Landscape and help you
discover the possibilities available to construct sculptural arrangements/ works, using
fresh, temporary and permanent materials based on the Japanese art of
Ikebana.
Once you have constructed these
instillations you will be encouraged to use pastels/paints to express the
design, colour and texture of these works.

Painting in the Landscape
MULTIPLE LAYERS - An experimental Process.

October Friday 3rd – Sunday 5th
This workshop is an opportunity to
experiment, try ideas, let go, and work through process without knowing the
end point; and see where it takes you.
We will explore ways of layering;
working with techniques of glazing, mark-making, silhouette, print reduction
and multiple views; in paint and various media. We will attempt to develop
works that immerse the viewer and slowly reveal; through rich varied surface
and layered imagery. We will source the surrounding landscape for visual
inspiration.
