Rusty Roo artists retreat . .  a place to let your soul breathe

Ikebana  in & of the Landscape

"Art does not reproduce the visible; rather, it makes visible."   Paul Klee (1879-1940),

Lily will guide you through the Landscape and help you discover the possibilities available to construct sculptural works using the art of Ikebana.

In this workshop, you will explore and learn how to observe the beauty of nature.  You will do some ‘leg work’ to collect materials from the natural environment at Rusty Roo.

Lily will teach you how to construct sculptural arrangements using fresh, temporary and permanent materials based on the Japanese art of Ikebana.

Using these arrangements, you are encouraged to use pastels, if you want to,  to express the design, colour and texture of these works . .  .

No previous experience is necessary.

Lily is a qualified Ikebana teacher and practicing artist.  She also contributes monthly with Ikebana articles to the Floral Design Magazine.
