Rusty Roo artists retreat . .  a place to let your soul breathe

Ikebana  in & of the Landscape

"Art does not reproduce the visible; rather, it makes visible."   Paul Klee (1879-1940),

Lily will guide you through the Landscape and help you discover the possibilities available to construct sculptural works using the art of Ikebana.

In this workshop, you will explore and learn how to observe the beauty of nature.  You will do some ‘leg work’ to collect materials from the natural environment at Rusty Roo.

Lily will teach you how to construct sculptural arrangements using fresh, temporary and permanent materials based on the Japanese art of Ikebana.

On the Sunday you will be encouraged to participate, if you want to, to construct an ephemeral arrangement in the landscape – using the principals you learnt on the first day.  It’s like having permission to play !!!!

No previous experience is necessary.
